Lodges situated in a private concession within the Kruger National Park
A cracking love-it or hate-it small rustic camp with an epic lake location, attendant Big Five during the electricity-free night, extensive private traversing in an obscure but accessible Kruger concession, and a real quirky character like the elephant it was named for.

We feature ten lodges in seven concessions, plus the Makuleke contractual park in the north. With many benefits of private lodges and carefully controlled off-roading, they offer a more luxurious experience in the park than SANParks restcamps
Mluwati is a 100 square kilometre private concession inside the Kruger named for the river which, along with the N'waswitsontso, runs through it. Three similarly priced five star lodges offer differing styles but access to the same game-rich traversing area.
Lukimbi accepts children over 2; under eights must join parents on a privately-hired drive vehicle. Activities include track casting, arts & crafts, treasure hunts and game walks. There is an unsupervised playroom and shallow kids pool. Babysitting is available
Intimate fixed trails camp overlooking an active Timbitene plain with a distant waterhole. Comfy tents, dining room, fire pit and viewing deck. Outstanding walking. Plentiful rhino. Evening drives for Big Five.
19th century African colonial experience with 6 luxury canvas and wood suites on the Nwatswitsonto River. Shares 100 sq km Kruger Mluwati concession. Plentiful Big Five & birdlife. Silver service, bush dinners, picnics.
Pair of highly luxurious Kruger concession lodges with Sabie river frontage, 5,000 hectares of traversing and Sabi Sand access. Classic safari ambience, given a modern twist with eye-popping treehouse sleep-overs.
Large 15,000 hectare private Kruger concession in an excellent position with abundant grassland savannah and 3 river system. Great walking opportunities including full day trails.
Suspended due to large influx of game to rivers in 2015/6 drought season. No plans to re-establish due to continued high density of Big Five.
Rhino Post is a luxurious base camp for Rhino Walking Safaris. Given that its traversing is effectively restricted to the Kruger public roads, we mainly suggest it for going on trail elsewhere or as a salubrious alternative to Skukuza.
