RUSTIC SOLE-USE BUSH CAMP
Avoca Bush Camp is a pretty and quiet exclusive retreat for friends and family groups in the Timbavati Nature Reserve. It is bookable either on a self- or fully-catered basis. Wild and tranquil, it offers an exclusive safari experience in rustic (basic) accommodation.
POOL & LOUNGE
Idyllic and eco-friendly, the camp sleeps 8 people in log cabins with a main lodge area, pool, boma, and all the self-catering facilities (gas and solar) needed.
PRIVATE DRIVES
Your private guide takes you into Big Five territory. Morning and evening game drives offer fantastic game viewing.
BIG FIVE
Timbavati has a high density of elephants and mega-herds of buffalo. Wild dog are frequently around. Cheetah hunt on the large open plains. The reserve is home to naturally occurring white lions.
SUNDOWNERS
The game drive vehicle is also used for bush dinners and sundowners.
TWIN CHALETS
There are 3 twin rooms. Two share an adjacent bathroom with separate toilet and shower, and one has its own bathroom containing a bath tub and toilet.
DOUBLE CHALET
One chalet has a double bed and en-suite bathroom (shower and toilet). All rooms are equipped with bug screens, a wooden cupboard with shelving and hanging space, extra blankets, and bedside tables.
OUTDOOR SHOWERS
Outdoor showers use donkey boilers and are lit on request for hot water.
PHOTOGRAPHIC SAFARIS
Avoca’s exclusive use makes it ideal for specialist-interest safaris. Photographic safaris are a regular feature.
CYCLING SAFARIS
Cycling safaris depart on specific dates, and can be organised on demand.
CAMP FIRE CHEF
A private chef is included in the fully-catered option. Children over the age of 12 are welcome. Note that power comes from solar charged batteries, not designed for charging batteries and cellphones.
