Children over two are welcomed to Lukimbi, with a range of activities on offer around the camp, including hide-and-seek and treasure hunts.
There is a dedicated Safari Play room which is available to your family all day. It is unsupervised.
The Camp has a small playground.
Interactive sessions with rangers can be organised. Kids’ picnics and high teas take place around the fire where the kids can cook their own food. Special boma dinners can be arranged.
Arts and crafts activities include making casts from animals tracks around the lodge, painting, and messy play.
All children love to swim: for the younger ones there is a special shallow kids pool. The older ones will enjoy the water flowing across the rocks, until it drops into a waterfall. There they can enjoy the adventure of sitting behind the cascading water. There is the main area to play in and, if they are lucky, they will be able to watch elephants drinking from the pools in the river bed nearby.
Bush walks in the immediate vicinity are a favourite. Under-eights can join their parents on drives if you hire a private vehicle.
For children under 12, babysitting is available from 07h00, but needs to be pre-booked. Safari beds and cots are available on request.
