STRIKING DESIGN
Set on the banks of the Mluwati inside the Kruger, the uniquely-designed Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge offers ethnic luxury, warmth and style.

VIEWING FROM DECK
Set on an ancient elephant route, this remarkable looking camp is built in traditional tribal design and accommodates a maximum of 12 guests.

MLUWATI CONCESSION
Hoyo Hoyo is in the 100 square kilometer Mluwati private concession which shares game with Sabi Sand and Manyeleti. It is home to the Big Five and magnificent herds of game.

Game drives & walks
Experienced Tsonga guides lead you on drives into this pristine wilderness area. Note that walking is by prior arrangement here. Worth doing as it is excellent.

TSONGA INSPIRED
Lodge architecture is based on Tsonga vernacular design, with circular motifs throughout. A traditional homestead or ‘muti’ was circular and cylindrical with earth coloured walls and a tapering thatched reed roof.

SPACIOUS SUITES
The lodge offers six luxury air-conditioned suites with king-sized beds, en-suite stone bathrooms, outdoor showers and private game viewing decks.

COLOUR & STYLE
The warm glow of brightly coloured walls, traditional ornaments and little embellishments on lamps, door handles and mirrors bring this local culture to life.

POOL & DECK
The sparkling swimming pool promises a refreshing dip while providing the opportunity to enjoy the rich and varied wildlife that comes to the river for a cooling drink.

STYLISH DINING
Food combines traditional African recipes with Western ingredients and influence. Home baking, light salads and local specialities, such as beetroot salad and ostrich steak, are served in relaxed surroundings.

WELCOME
Staff are drawn from the local community and proud to offer you an insight into local traditions and culture. Plenty of evening singing, dancing and tale-telling contribute to the ethnic vibe.
