CONCRETE & AIR
Earth Lodge is a spectacular edifice sculpted into the side of an earth mound. It is built in a brutalist concrete style framing expansive apertures opening onto the environment in a way that largely conceals it from its surroundings.
Exclusive game drives
The most exclusive of the Sabi Sabi lodges, it limits participants on its excellent game drives to a maxiumum of six. A substantial reservoir near to the waterhole at the lodge attracts plenty of game to the area.
Excellent walking
Bush walks are excellent in the large, exclusive 150 square kilometre traversing area that Sabi Sabi enjoys.
SPECTACULAR DESIGN
It uses texture, light and space, along with eye-popping interior design, to create a lodge experience quite unlike anything else.
OPEN TO THE ELEMENTS
A hidden corridor leads you down a sloping ramp which opens onto a panorama of uninterrupted bushveld.
HUGE, STARK SUITES
Twelve ultra-luxurious suites feature individually designed furniture, private plunge pool, en-suite glass-fronted bathroom and both indoor and outdoor showers. Wooden sculptures by South African artist Geoffrey Armstrong add to the magical feel.
AMBER PRESIDENTIAL SUITE
The Amber Presidential Suite celebrates size, space and indulgence. Its opulence is remarkable, from the magnificent carved wooden headboard to the deep egg-shaped bath. The walls are sculpted from tree roots and piled up piece by piece, designed to evoke the drama of the African night and the power of the wilderness. It has its own steam room, study and kitchen.
SPECTACULAR DINING
The lodge’s dining room manages to be both indoors and out, overlooking the floodlit waterhole. The cuisine is haute.

The boma for dinner under the stars is spectacular.
CREATURE COMFORTS
Other facilities include a secluded library, art gallery, meditation garden, and an underground wine cellar with a collection of over 6000 bottles of rare wines. It is the venue for an unforgettable dining experience.
