RUSTIC COMFORT
Simple, comfortable and rustic, Africa on Foot is a rondavel camp on game-rich plains. It focuses on walking, with plenty of mammalian activity around the camp. The Klaserie region has unfenced Kruger borders, with predators and other game roaming freely. Big Five are plentiful.

EXCELLENT MORNING WALKING
Every morning, experienced professional game rangers lead you on foot through an area attractive to lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo as well as hyena, hippo, giraffe, zebra and a whole host of other wildlife.

THE SMALL THINGS
A thoughtful pace on foot and informative guiding allows for plenty of attention to the small things. The local Shangaan guides are exceptional.

AFTERNOON DRIVES
Afternoons and evenings offer Big Five game drives, giving you the full spectrum of safari activities. Vehicles enable you to follow up on activity heard at night.

SMALL; FAMILY-FRIENDLY
Africa on Foot has 5 chalets with outdoor showers to enjoy the view. Two are family units with adjoining bedrooms and space for 4 double and twin beds. All have en-suite bathrooms, mosquito nets, a clothing rack, bedside tables, and solar powered lamps. Gas heats water; electricity is from the sun.

SHARED DINING
A comfortable central lounge area is constructed around an old tree trunk and equipped with couches and a library. Everyone dines together at a large table indoors to share stories of the day or, in summer, to enjoy a braai around the camp fire in the boma.

GREAT TREEHOUSE
For the more adventurous there is a treehouse, a few hundred metres from camp. The wooden structure reaches up into the trees with a game-viewing platform and a top deck with a bed and a memorable view. In summer it is warm and beautiful.

ELEPHANT POOL
An elevated concrete tank serves as a plunge pool for guests and doubles as a waterhole attracting elephants in need of a drink.

WATERHOLE HIDE
A waterhole hide provides viewing of good concentrations of game and photographic opportunities.

Bush bar
A lovely bush bar a short distance from camp offers an unusual setting for the traditional sundowner or evening drink.
