Lowest price Kruger lodges

When planning a budget safari or looking for the cheapest Kruger lodges, some of the more affordable options are actually hidden in the Greater Kruger private lodges and reserves. Compared to the public park, you save on conservation and activity fees. Food is also generally included.

When we create a package for you, be aware that we aim to improve on the published rack rates to pass value on to you.

You will find lower prices for group bookings of entire lodges, and can save money by self-catering on your safari. Another good money-saving option, with a more intense experience, is a Kruger walking trail. You will also save money by self-driving between the public Kruger restcamps but do not forget to factor in the conservation fee which is payable at these and generally not shown in rack rates (we do include them).

In price terms, Kruger concessions are similar to private lodges but you do incur the daily SANParks conservation fee, which is several hundred Rand per international visitor per day.
