VISITING HIPPO AND ZEBRA

The river, to which all of the rooms open out, is frequented by hippo and crocodiles. The reserve is home to giraffe, nyala, impala, wildebeest, zebra, bushbuck, duiker, steenbuck, waterbuck, bushpig and warthog. Other visitors to the beautiful sub-tropical gardens include introduced peacocks and the owners’ horses.

There is a variety of bed and breakfast accommodation. The main house offers luxury rooms with en-suite bathrooms.

RONDAVELS

On the rolling lawns overlooking the river are two rondavels with ensuite bathrooms and a comfortable cottage.

LARGER GROUPS SELF-CATERING

A large house with its own pool sleeps 4, and is available for self-catering guests. Four adults and two children can be accommodated in large rondavels with ensuite.

There is a verandah overlooking the gardens and river at the main building, where drinks are served. Massages are available from qualified therapists.

Swimming pools

The lodge has two swimming pools, one of them set in to rocks overlooking the river.
