Every game drive holds the possibility of immortalizing amazing moments on camera and with Londolozi’s experienced guides leading your safari experience you will be all set to capture the images you have dreamed of. A photographic safari vehicle is available which has been converted for the purpose with fewer seats, more space, and supporting equipment for cameras.
Several Londolozi rangers are highly regarded photographers in their own right, and will conduct your drive along with a tracker.
There will also be a professional photographic guide to be your private instructor. They will assist you both in the field and in post-processing and editing. The two professionals combined with a private vehicle make a formidable package.
To guide a photographic safari at Londolozi, rangers need a minimum of five years’ guiding experience as well as a deep knowledge of all the latest digital and photographic technology and equipment. The specialist guide is required to be both a game ranger and photographic instructor and their mission is to facilitate and challenge guests in taking their dream shots of wildlife.
A photographic studio is available for the use of guests at all Londolozi lodges, where you can direct and produce your own creative work. One-on-one post-production tuition is enhanced by the opportunity to print images on wide-format canvas. With tuition from a qualified Lightroom instructor, you can spend time between game drives editing and printing your best safari shots.
The studio offers a wide range of the professional grade camera bodies and lenses for rental during your stay. It aims to offer just about any camera accessory you may need to snap the perfect shot, be it of a leopard in a tree, a fish eagle in flight or zebras grooming one another.
The photographic safari experience is limited to four guests per vehicle and a minimum of two nights. This safari must be booked prior to arrival.
