Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge has a fully-fledged specialist facility for the kids, the EleFun Centre. It offers daily schedules of activities tailored to two different age ranges. It provides somewhere supervised to play and swim, and to generally entertain the children, so adults can enjoy some safari time away from the family. Babysitting is available.
KMIA is a fair distance from Kruger gates but has more flights serving more destinations than other local airports, including Durban and Mozambique. A lodge-hopper services Sabi Sand and Timbavati lodges. Low cost airlines operate from time to time. Car rental and long term parking. Bar, restaurant and a wide range of shops.
Smaller more intimate offshoot of the Main Camp accommodating 18 as a group (14 sharing independently). It has similar luxurious facilities and Sand river view. Excellent drives. Photographic vehicle for hire.
Lukimbi accepts children over 2; under eights must join parents on a privately-hired drive vehicle. Activities include track casting, arts & crafts, treasure hunts and game walks. There is an unsupervised playroom and shallow kids pool. Babysitting is available
MalaMala Main Camp welcomes children of all ages with baby-sitting and a Junior Ranger's Programme for kids older than 4, who may also join drives. Activities include tracking animals by spoor & cooking a bush breakfast. Board games and DVDs at the lodge.
MalaMala offers dedicated photography vehicle for daily hire with a photographer guide. Six seats are in three rows of 2 bucket seats. Each row has a sliding mount. Bean bags, equipment boxes, under-seat lighting.
Organised in advance, Sabi Sabi offers a professional Photographic Host & dedicated vehicle from any lodge for groups of up to six people. Tutoring in the field on subjects from use of light to animal behaviour is supplemented with image reviews and post processing at the end of the course. Kit is for hire.
